Youth Musician Scholarship
Portland Choir & Orchestra is pleased to announce this year’s Youth Musician Scholarship, to be presented at our Prairie Fire concert in May (see above). Last year’s award was announced at our Brahm’s Requiem concert in April.

Portland Choir and Orchestra is pleased to announce that Ken Selden, Professor and Director of Orchestral Studies at Portland State University, has accepted the position of Orchestra Director.
From Ken Hollenzer, Executive Director of PCO, “It is with a deep sense of confidence and excitement that the PCO Orchestra Director Selection Committee announces the selection of Dr. Ken Selden as the new Orchestra Director effective May 19, 2025. The Selection Committee members and I look forward to welcoming Ken and to begin the work to prepare for the celebration of the twentieth season of the Portland Choir and Orchestra.”
Dr. Selden conducted his premier concert for Portland Choir and Orchestra on December 20, 2025, PCO’s annual Christmas concert at the Newmark Theater.
