Carmina Burana, a cantata composed in 1935 and 1936 by Carl Orff, is based on a medieval collection of 24 poems by the same name. The full Latin title is Carmina Burana: Cantiones profanae cantoribus et choris cantandae comitantibus instrumentis atque imaginibus magicis. Portland Choir & Orchestra is pleased to present this musical masterpiece for one matinee performance only at the Rolling Hills Community Church in Tualatin on Saturday 11 May at 2pm.
